What Merit Finds collects directly

Nothing you type in, because there’s nowhere to type anything in. Merit Finds uses aggregated, anonymized site analytics (page views, referring pages, rough location and device type) to understand which pages are useful. This data isn’t tied to your name, email, or any other identifying information, and Merit Finds doesn’t maintain user profiles or accounts.

Affiliate links and cookies

Every “Buy it on” button on Merit Finds is an affiliate link. Clicking one takes you to the retailer’s own website through a tracking redirect (via Amazon Associates or Sovrn Commerce) that credits Merit Finds with a commission if you make a purchase, at no extra cost to you. That redirect may set a cookie on the retailer’s domain to attribute the sale — Merit Finds itself doesn’t read, store, or have access to that cookie or any purchase information. Once you land on the retailer’s site, their own privacy policy governs what happens next, not this one.

Third-party services Merit Finds uses

• Vercel — hosting and anonymized analytics.
• Amazon Associates — affiliate tracking on Amazon product links.
• Sovrn Commerce — affiliate tracking on non-Amazon retailer links.

Each operates under its own privacy policy, which applies once you leave Merit Finds through one of their links.

Merit Finds doesn’t sell your data

There’s no user data collected here worth selling, and Merit Finds wouldn’t sell it if there were. Revenue comes entirely from affiliate commissions, described above.

Children’s privacy

Merit Finds isn’t directed at children under 13, and doesn’t knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will change with it.
